Cockburnspath is a rural community situated on the east coast of the Scottish Borders. We are ideally positioned between Edinburgh (to the north), and Eyemouth (to the south). Cockburnspath & Cove has stunning coastlines as well as being a short distance from the historic John Muir Way. Cockburnspath is the end of the well known Southern Upland Way, which begins in Portpatrick in the West.

From Cockburnspath the John Muir Way can be followed for around 9 miles along the East Lothian coast to Dunbar for anyone wanting to catch a train. The community & culture of Cockburnspath and Cove is vibrant. Over the recent years, the community has been pro-active in all aspects of rural life in the community and surrounding area.

Cove is a small fishing harbour situated a short distance away from the centre of Cockburnspath. The traditional fishing harbour is a popular destination and continues to be a harbour for fisherman. The harbour is a small and discrete privately owned area of our community which the community love and enjoy.
